Mi Casa Takes On Music At The Lake & The MAMA’s 2016

With serious hits under their belt like, These Streets, Turn You On, Jika, Don’t Wanna Be Your Friend and of course Your Body. There shouldn’t be an ear in South Africa or Africa in whole that hasn’t heard the name Mi Casa.

Mi Casa as a group themselves are just something special. No Pun intended. With lead vocalist J’Something belting out the lyrics, Duda known as the Dr. on the decks, followed up by Mo-T on Trump, how could things you go wrong?

So when the boy’s announced they were coming to rock the Durban Botanic Gardens, Old Mutual Music At The Lake Series, you know who was there with flowers in her hair right?

We have been lucky enough to work with the boys at many events and it’s always a pleasure hanging with the group, talking about their next gigs, present state of success, and passion and happiness that drives them.

And when you have DJ DeonG opening for you, it’s pretty much a sealed deal that the day’s gonna rock!

Mi Casa ooze good vibes! And when you see them onstage performing live its very clear as too why. I tell you, I tried my best to focus on the job at hand, but 2 songs in and Cee was doing a little back stage jiving herself. A lil step to the left, step to the right kinda dance. At one point while looking at the crowd I asked myself if there was anyone in Durban who wasn’t at the concert?

Pulling crowds from all different age, race, cultural and religious back rounds, Mi Casa is one of the bands in Southern Africa that can unite us all at once, no questions asked. You say “Mi Casa is playing” and we say ‘Where?”.

And let’s not forget, these lad’s are all multi talented al’right! They can dance, they can produce, the can cook and they can seduce! At one stage at the concert, J’Something started talking to all the ladies and let me tell you the swoons could be heard from Capetown! When a man address the crowd and his fans in 4-5 different languages, well really guys, there is no competition!

With the guys, having a great time on stage, dancing, laughing, and generally just having a ball. The fans too were dancing, laughing and making new friends. I have said it before and I will say it again, Music At The Lake Concerts are always extremely well run and handled. The people that go to this venue, go for good music, for a good evening, for light, friendly and stress free vibes! And every single time that is exactly what we end up leaving with!

And yes, Mi Casa have just as much fun on stage as we have off it!

And wouldn’t you too? When your friends like DJ Tira rock up to join the party?

So South Africa, not only are these guys one of my favorite bands! Not only are the one of the best performing act to watch live on stage? And not only do they inspire all my back stage dances! But I need your help to help these guys keep getting even cooler!

MiCasa has been nominated for BEST GROUP at this years MTV MAMA’s 2016! Yes! It’s true and I need you to help me, help them spread their amazing music, talent and general cool vibes!

  1. Not often do I come across a weblog that is both informative and enjoyable, and let me tell you,
you may have hit the nail on the head. Your conceptis fantastic; the issue is
something that not sufficient individuals are speaking smartly about.
I’m very happy that I found this in my quest for something relating to this.
