What can I say? When The Oyster Box does something, they do it with class and finesse.
October is always a busy month for The Oyster Box as they host Skabenga’s Birthday Party and of course do their special High Tea event’s in aid of CANSA and supporting Cancer patients.
Arriving at the hotel, we were greeted by a poster of the beautiful Skabenga, smiling back at us, telling us all about the Charlie and The Chocolate Factory theme of that day’s High Tea and not moments later did we actually bump into Charlie himself!
We were seated at a beautifully laid table, each with our very own WONKA Chocolate Bar!
This we were informed could contain a golden ticket. If one of us did happen to find the Golden Ticket we would win a weekend away at The 12 Apostles Hotel in Capetown. And even get to take part in a Lindt Master Class.
Al of course, being the curious one immediately dove into his Wonka Bar. Sadly none of us won, but we were there to see another guest find the golden ticket and that made us all smile.
The High Tea layout was that of every child and adults dream. The chefs could not have done a better job at preparing our afternoon for us, for what lay beyond us, was nothing short of magical. Let me show you….
And if that isn’t enough to convince you to get to the Oyster Box today, you may be a little like me. I did spend most of my time in the savory section of the table. I know terrible right? But to be fair the Oyster Box provided a literal treasure chest of cheeses, figs, preserves, pastes, seafood and crackers for me to reign queen over!
Okay, so I also got into the chocolate fountain. And I created a new snack. I like to call it the Salmon A La’ Choc. Basically its a cracker, with a slice of salmon, a slice of brie, drizzled in fig preserve sauce, and stop with a chocolate covered strawberry! Trust me the flavors all compliment each other brilliantly! That or I am the Mad Hatter! But that’s another party!
Look this is the Oyster Box one of Durban’s most respected, luxurious hotel in my home Province. It is nothing short of gorgeous with amazing decor, world class winning Chefs, several different areas to the hotel from food, to entertainment and luxury spa’s of course!
Going to the Oyster Box is like taking a boat off the mainland to a private island, where you’re treated like Kings & Queens of great nations. There are many events happening from now until the end of the year and I suggest you visit www.oysterboxhotel.com to find out the latest and if nothing more, I hope to see you there.
I wonder whats next…………
And As Always….
