Can you study while on the road?

Can you study while on the road?

I was having this conversation with one of my besties the other day. We were chatting about various courses that we both intend to take up, within the next two years.

Of course that conversation slowly dipped into how we were going to be able to do that, as we are both either on the road, or behind laptops working, seven days a week.

We have built brands and are changing the status quo within our different industries, but no entrepreneur ever thinks to themselves: “well that’s good enough, I think I’ll stop here”.

Then there is the small factor of costs incurred. Sadly, extended learning, in this country is no cheap feat, if it were, there would be a lot more people studying and furthering their education.

So with time, work and money being an issue, is this a realistic goal that we have? I’m going to say yes, and I think I’ve found the way to go about it.

Ever heard of GetSmarter? Well now you have, and I think you’ll be hearing about the brand a lot more, over the next few months!

GetSmarter offer a range of University approved courses. With an estimated 90% course completion rate, I can’t be the only one who is curious about their success.

Not only that, but there are a range of payment options.

  • You can pay for your course in full when registering.
  • You can pay off your course over 2-3 months, depending on the course type.
  • And, GetSmarter have joined forces with Fever Tree, who can loan you your course fees, with a payback payment plan.

So, if you’re worrying about a huge bulk of money coming off your last paycheck, dont. It’s okay. Breathe. There is a way.

Oxford, Cambridge, MIT, or UCT any of these ringing a bell? Well, they’re universities both locally and internationally that GetSmarter offer short courses through. Have a look at their full portfolio of courses, HERE.

With courses like their Fintech programme, Business Sustainability Management, Big Data & Social Analytics or Project Management Foundation, there is something for everyone.

So do I need to go live in Capetown for the next 6 months, quit my job, and live the student life?

No. The GetSmarter courses are based online. Meaning, you can study from home, in your lunch break at the office or while working and travelling remotely. The latter which is becoming the essential lifestyle for the Millennial and Xillenial generations.

What about those of us who, dont like studying alone, or without assistance from a lecture? Will there be support while we are studying?

Yes. In fact, GetSmarter are just as interested and passionate about you succeeding in your studies, as you are. And how do they assist you with that?

  • With 24/7 access to your Global Campus.
  • A flexiable study, calendar.
  • And study breaks.

You’ll have access to all the tools that every student on campus has, but with the flexibilty of being off campus.

Sound good?

Well now’s the time to start looking at courses.

If you’re interested in learning about online marketing to further your business skills, starting on the 02nd October 2017, there is a SEO (Search Engine Optimization) & A Digital Marketing short course.

You can also find them on social media. FacebookTwitter.

And if October is to close, you can view all the courses currently available until March 2018. Who doesn’t like to be able to plan ahead.

Not only that but each course is annually reviewed to make sure that your course content is both educational and relevant to the industry at the time of your studying.

Personally that’s a big plus for me, knowing how often some of these industries online, change!

So my suggestion is that you, to look at the courses available. Look at the various ways that you can advance not only your career but your career. If there is an opportunity to learn, to educate and to grow, take it.
